Non-specific trauma information cards

We offer cards which do not mention sexual abuse or assault for survivors who do not wish to disclose that or do not feel comfortable doing so. We have two types of non-branded patient information cards. The smaller ones which give general information and advice to healthcare practitioners, and larger ones which provide additional space for survivors to specify these adjustments in more detail.

#CheckWithMeFirst Branded Trauma Information Cards

We also offer cards which specifically mention sexual abuse and assault for those who wish to disclose this information. They are branded with The Survivors Trust's #CheckWithMeFirst campaign and are introduced in healthcare settings which have received trauma informed care training. There are two types of branded cards. The smaller ones which give general information and advice for healthcare practitioners, and the larger cards which provide additional space for survivors to specify these adjustments and go into more detail, if they wish to.

The cards are currently only being officially accepted at Gynae Outpatients clinics at Liverpool Women’s Hospital (April 2025) but should be in use across the rest of the hospital and at other sites following evaluation of the pilot scheme, and a staff training programme. We will update this page regularly.

Cards should be available at Liverpool Women’s Hospital (Crown Street site) or can be ordered for personal use via email.
